Adhyan ki drishti se pustak ko kul aatha adhyayo main vibhakta kiya gaya hai, pratham adhyay main bharatiya kala ka kramik vikas, kala ka earth, prakar evam uski visheshta ke sath he sthapatya kala ki vyutpatti evam vikas par prachur prakash dala gaya hai. Dusre adhyay main saindhav ghati sabhyata ki sthapatya evam kala se sambandhit mahatvapurna smarakon, murtikala, muhren, mrinmayee murtiyon, mridbhandon evam abhushankala ki samuchit vivechana ki gayee hai. Teesra adhyay purva maurya evam maurya yug se sambandhit hai. Chaturtha adhyay main shung satwahan yug ki sthapatya evam kala ka vidhivat anusheelan kiya gaya hai. Panchvey adhyay main kushankaleen sthapatya ki vivechana ke atirikta is yug ki kala ki do pramukh vidhyaon-Gandhar evam Mathura ke vibhinn pakshon par vidhivat charcha ki gayee hai chathey adhyay main guptakaleen sthapatya kala evam chitrakala ke vibhinn pakshon ko prastut karne ka prayas kiya gaya hai. Saatwan adhyay rajput kaleen sthapatya se sambandhit hai. Aathvey adhyay main dakshin Bharat ki vibhinn sthapatya shailiyon evam tatsambandhi mandiron tatha anya nirmanon ka sachitra vivran prastut kiya gaya hai. Bharatiya sthapatya evam kala par abhi tak prakashit adhikansh prasidh pustakein paschimi vidwano dwara videshi drishtikona se likhi gayee hai. Astu se pray: anek purvagrahon se grasta rahin hai. Parantu prastut pustak main hamara prayas isey nitant bharatiya drishtikon se pramanit tathyon ke aadhar par prastut karne ka raha hai. Sthapatya evam kala sambandhi anek angreji bhasha ke takniki shabdon ke sthan par hindi ke prachalit athwa angreji ke shabdon ka prayog kiya gaya hai.
