Description
Description
Based on the wisdom of the Upanishads, the most ancient and authoritative scriptures of India, this book is an insightful introduction to the teachings of vedanta in a contemporary manner without compromising its traditional contents.
Vedanta says that no individual needs salvation because he or she is never lost but merely living in ignorance of his or her true nature. The collection of essays here is meant to provide a background, in language which appeals to our reason, for further exploration of this extraordinary insight of ancient sages.

About the Author(s)
Dhruv S. Kaji was born in India but spent most of his childhood in eastern Africa. He returned to India to complete his education, then entered the corporate world as a chartered accountant. He served as finance director for a large group of manufacturing companies, but eventually left this position in search of more meaningful pursuits. After a period without any real direction spent experimenting with white-water rafting, skydiving, acrobatic flying, and other adventure sports, he discovered Vedanta. He has been studying Vedanta since 1990 with swamis, university professors, and other teachers, both traditional and nontraditional. He now lives in Bombay and Singapore with his wife and two children, where he continues his study of Vedanta while working as a management consultant. Dhruv S.
