The present book is an attempt to touch upon those topics of Educational Psychology which require the attention of the research scholars, educational scientists, teachers and educational administrations. There is a dire need to conduct research work in these new areas. In this book, new topics on which research work has been done during the last decade have been discussed, like emotional intelligence, psychological wellbeing, locus of control and self-efficacy etc. New research topics like self-concept of the students, emotional maturity, social maturity and social intelligence. Burnout among school teachers, Self-esteem and Positive Self, E-learning and Management of Behavioural problems among school children have been describe. Thus in total twelve chapters were composed in detail to give the detailed knowledge of the particular subject.

About the Author(s)
Dr. Agyajit Singh retired as Head, Department of Psychology, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab) after serving it for 30 years in the Department of Education and Psychology. He holds the Master degrees in Psychology and Education; with M. Litt in Educational Psychology and Ph.D. in Sports Psychology. He has the experience of teaching to the post-graduate classes in the subjects of Educational Psychology as well as Measurement and Evaluation. He also worked as co-ordinator in the Department of Correspondence Courses of the University for B.Ed and M.Ed courses for a few years. He has the privilege of serving the prestigious international famed institution, i.e.; Nataji Subhas National Institute of sports Patiala as Sports Psychologist for many years. He worked as a team Psychologist with Indian Athletic Team and Indian Women HockeyTeam before Busan Asian Games in 2002, while he was serving at N.S. National Institute of Sports Patiala. He also worked as Principal-cum -Director of a few colleges of Education for three years after his retirement. He has published more than 200 articles and research papers in different journals and magazines of repute. He has published 62 books in Psychology and Education and three more books are under publication. He has guided 42 Ph.D. scholars and 30 M. Phil research theses. He has attended more than 70 national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad; Where he had been presenting his research papers. He also attended 5th World Sports Psychology Conference held at Brussels (Belgium) in November 1987 and also visited National Institute of Sports (INSEP) at Paris (France). He visited Belgium, France and USA on academic pursuits. He was awarded "Life Time Achievement Award" in Sports Psychology by the Sports Psychology Association of India at the international Conference of Sports Psychology held at Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education Gwalior in 2009. He was the member of the senate and syndicate of Punjabi University during 1990-92. At present he is the member of the Finance Committee of Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. Recently, he was honored with the award of Eminent Psychologist by PRAACHI PSYCHO-CULTURAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATION at its 10th annual conference held at D.A.V college for women Ferozepur Cantt.
