About the Book:

The aim of this research is to enumerate, to reinstate the importance of ethics (against self-drawn morals) and approach the Western Ethical Turn through Indian Ethics. It also brings in the praxis by exploring the mode of their dispersal via medium of tales. The project moves further as it looks at the popular and influential area of management (corporate) where the impact is largely felt. The “management” here intends to be all-inclusive spanning from deep self to the external world of systems and organisations. All-inclusive approach attracts readers from various walks of life —general readers to the academicians belonging to the different faculties —Literature and Languages, Education, Philosophy and Management among others. This book would be a subject of interest for a parent, a teacher or any citizen of the world who aims to lead a meaningful life and inspire the younger generation to add value to their stay on this earth.

About the Author:

Dr. Meenu Aggarwal Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Dept of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. Her research interests include the areas of Literary Theory, Salman Rushdie and comparative analysis between Deleuzo-Guattarian and Indian Philosophy. She has successfully supervised eight PhD Theses and eleven M.Phil Dissertations. She has been invited to present research papers in conferences in India and abroad. She also coordinates English Proficiency Courses and Soft-skills Workshops.

An extraordinary read, dive into ethics

I am grateful for the day I came across this book. This book is post-modern in its grounding, a foot in the past yet channeling that into the present so effortlessly. We must be able to check our roots before growing into trees. 'Mapping Ethical Turn Through Indian Tales' will help you not just in the coursework of Philosophy, English, and other subjects but also in life.

Recommending this book to everybody searching for a brand-new outlook on life values and morality. The concepts of svadharma, niskamakarma, and vasudhaiva kutumbakam have instilled something in me that I will never forget. This book should not just be in the stores but in syllabus and households, for it is something everyone needs to live a better life.

This book has given me a new outlook on how I should view life. The concepts of svadharma, niskamakarma, vasudhaiva kutumbakam have taught me much. I will keep this book close to me for years to come, it is a beginner's guide to philosophy. A must-have for all students of humanities and sciences. Truly knowledge has no field, but it's for all fields.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the author Dr Meenu A. Gupta for presenting such a wonderful book forward. It truly was a peek into the past of Indian Ethics and Hindu Philosophy. Through these concepts, one can easily understand all the western philosophers quite easily, for so much of it is rooted in our cultural heritage. I would definitely recommend it to everybody who is venturing into this field.
